Dr. Joshua Rosensweig - Chairman of the board
Dr. Joshua Rosensweig was born in Canada and raised in New York, where he graduated from Yeshiva University prior to immigrating to Israel in 1973.
Dr. Rosensweig earned his first degree in law from Bar-Ilan University Law School, and subsequently, both LLM and doctoral (JSD) degrees from New York University. In 1999 Dr. Rosensweig became a Senior Partner at Gornitzky & Co. when his firm Rosensweig & Co. (established in 1981), merged with Gornitzky. He specialized in international and local taxation, commercial and corporate law, international business transactions, as well as in finance, banking and securities matters.
From September 2003 until September 2006 Dr. Rosensweig served as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of First International Bank of Israel, one of Israel’s top five banks. From 2006 Dr. Rosensweig serves as co-founder and director of Rosenram Business Development Ltd. an exclusive private equity and investment house. .
Parallel to his legal and business careers, Dr. Rosensweig served on various government committees and commissions, including:
* Legal advisor to Knesset Finance Committee from 1983 to 1985.
* Steinberg Commission on Tax Reform from 1985 to 1986;
* the Rafael Committee on Reform of International Taxation from 1990 to 1991;
* The Somekh Committee on Mergers and Spin-Offs (taxation) of Listed Companies from 1993 to 1994;
Dr. Rosensweig lectured in taxation at Bar Ilan University from 1980 to 1995 as well as the Tel-Aviv School of Management "MBA" from 1983 to 1995, and has authored numerous publications.
Nimrod Goor -board member
Nimrod Goor is a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader with hands-on experience in both private and public companies. Before joining Precede technologies, Nimrod served in a variety of roles at Model N, including Vice President of Sales, Vertical Markets and Business Development. Model N is an Accel and Accel-KKR enterprise software company providing solutions for revenue management and regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining Model N, he was a co-founder and CEO of MedSim, a pioneer and world leader in the field of medical simulation. Nimrod was Vice President of Operations at Banner Aerospace, one of the world’s largest aviation spare parts distribution companies. While at Banner Aerospace, he helped manage the company’s August 1990 IPO. Nimrod consults and sits on various boards of high-tech start-up companies and was a co-founder and first outside board member of Instant 802 Networks, a software company for the wireless industry funded by Kleiner Perkins and August Capital.
In addition to his business activities, Nimrod spent seven years with the Israeli Air Force as a combat pilot. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Tel-Aviv University and an MBA from the Harvard School of Business Administration.
Avinoam Levy - Co-Founder, co-CEO, board member
Manages SolarPower’s engineering and serves as CTO since establishment in 2003. Avinoam holds BSc. Eng. from Tel Aviv University and brings to the company more than 15 years experience in practical engineering and support of electrical power systems.
Prior to founding SolarPower, Avinoam served as Technical Director at PowerDsine (Nasdaq: PDSN), after having served previously as Power Electronics Engineer at QPS, a power supplies manufacturer.
Alon Tamari - Co-Founder, co-CEO, board member
Manages SolarPower’s Sales and Marketing since its establishment in 2003. Alon holds BSc. in Geophysics sciences from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from Ben-Gurion University. Alon has more than 10 years experience in R&D, sales and marketing in hi-tech companies.
Prior to founding SolarPower, Alon served as Technical Support Director and regional Sales and Marketing Director at RadCom (Nasdaq: RDCM), after having served previously as SW development engineer at ECI Telecom.
